St Andrews & Turnberry Tour Description
This Scottish Golf Tour includes three of the most famous golfing counties in Scotland, Fife, Angus and Ayrshire and includes 5 rounds of championship golf during your 7 night/8 day stay.
The historical town of St Andrews where you will be based for part of this tour is totally unique in world golf, in the heart of Scotland’s golfing country. St Andrews is a wonderful historic town in its own right, being home to Scotland’s oldest University.
Dating back centuries (some say early 1400s) the St Andrews Old Course remains a challenge to this day with 112 bunkers and by far the largest greens in golf and another interesting stat is that 14 holes also share a green with another hole.

Home to both Turnberry and Royal Troon, Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland is also the birthplace of the Open Championship. "The Open" was first played for at Prestwick in 1860 and was won by Willie Park.
The Turnberry Resort enjoys a spectacular coastal setting with stunning views of Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig Rock (where around 70% of the world’s curling stones were from) and over the Irish Sea.
The Ailsa Links at Turnberry is often touted as the best course in the UK and was the venue for the famous “duel in the sun” in 1977 between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.
